![]() Béconne and Allan are enchanting ruins of medieval villages, great to explore. Why not take a picnic to these spots? The national Parc de Vecors is to the north. It gives you an opportunity for excellent hiking, beautiful mountain drives and vistas. You might even sight a mountain goat. The town of Crest has a medieval prison and an oil mill worth a visit. Dieulefit lies 15 km to the east and is famous for its pottery. Le-Poët-Laval is 5 km away. It is said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. Montelimar, well known for its nougat, is located 15 km to the west in the Rhône Valley. Nyons has a large Provençal market on Thursdays. The town is home to the best olives and olive oil in France. A visit to the olive co-operative and museum is a must. The Ardèche gorge is about an hour to the west on the other side of the Rhône River, great for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking.
